The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has announced the opening of applications for the 2024/2025 NDDC Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarships Programme, providing young Nigerians from the Niger Delta region with the opportunity to pursue post-graduate studies abroad.

Overview

The NDDC’s Foreign Post Graduate Scholarship Programme aims to equip young people with the necessary training and skills to participate in the Federal Government’s local content program, fostering global competitiveness among Niger Delta youths.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet specific criteria including being under 40 years old, holding a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum classification of First Class, Second Class Upper, or Lower Division from a recognized University, and hailing from the Niger Delta Region.

Professional Disciplines

The scholarship is open to applicants with Bachelor’s Degrees in fields such as Agricultural Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geosciences, Information Technology, Medical Sciences, and Law.

Application Process

  1. Initial Application: Submit an online application via the Commission’s Website.
  2. Preliminary Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on criteria including academic results and identification.
  3. Computer-Based Test: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a test in Rivers State.
  4. Further Shortlisting and Verification: Successful candidates will proceed to further shortlisting and final verification.

Scholarship Details

  • The scholarship amount will be based on the prevailing exchange rate of the Naira.
