This scholarship program offers several financial assistance options to students pursuing higher education at TMCF member institutions. See below some of the programs available and their eligibility requirements.

1. TMCF|Mcdonald’s Black and Positively Golden Scholarship

The TMCF|Mcdonald’s Black and Positively Golden Scholarship, a program by McDonald’s and The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), provides financial aid to students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Eligible students can receive up to $15,000 for the 2024–2025 academic school year. If interested in applying, make sure to meet the eligibility requirements listed below.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at an HBCU during the 2024-2025 academic school year.

2. Have a current cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or higher.

3. Demonstrate leadership abilities and financial need.

4. Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551.

How to Apply

All Applicants Must:

1. Upload a professional image of yourself.

2. Answer a video question on empowering black excellence.

3. Apply between November 2, 2024, and March 27, 2024.

2. 2024-2025 TMCF All Around Scholarship

The 2024-2025 TMCF All Around Scholarship is designed to provide financial aid to deserving students enrolled in historically black colleges and universities and predominantly black institutions. Eligible students will receive $10,000 each. Take a look at the eligibility requirements and application details below if you’re interested in this opportunity.

Eligibility Requirements

1. Enrolled full-time as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior at a TMCF member school during the 2024-2025 academic school year.

2. Maintain a current cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

3. Able to demonstrate financial need and submit the 2024-2025 FAFSA.

4. Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident.

Application Dates

All applications have been closed.

Application Closes August 31, 2024, Or when the funds have been exhausted. Make sure to apply within the specified timeframe.

Application Materials

Applications must have the following components to be considered complete:

1. Online Application, Essay, Student Aid Report (FAFSA), Most Recent Transcript, Recommendation Letter, and Resume.
