Please be advised that registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, 2022 – Second Series officially opened on July 13, 2022.
The West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates is offered twice a year by the West African Examination Council (WAEC). First and Second Series of the WASSCE for Private Candidates are completed in January and February and October and November, respectively.
About Registration for WAEC GCE 2022
The registration time for the WAEC GCE runs from Wednesday, July 13, 2022, till Friday, August 12, 2022, at 12:00 a.m.
Thirty Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N30,500.00) is the only fee per candidate for walk-in registration. A minimum of twenty-four hours before the time of the paper(s) you plan to take, you must register.
How to Apply for the WAEC GCE 2022
Candidates must pay the registration fee of Eighteen Thousand Naira (N18,000) in order to acquire the Registration PIN and Information VCD at any branch of one of the following banks or an authorized agency:

Note:
- Candidates must also pay the banks or authorized agencies a commission of 500 Naira (N500.00).
- The Registration PIN should be obtained by candidates and also Candidates must register online at https://registration.waecdirect.org after receiving their Registration PIN.
Things to Note While Applying for the WAEC GCE 2022
- During the registration period, candidates are required to finish the registration process within two weeks of their initial website access.
- They must verify that the information on their passports, including their names, gender, dates of birth, and subjects, is accurate.
- Additionally, they must print the Admission Notice, which will act as identification during the exam and serves as proof of successful enrollment.
- The Admission Notice will also include the Result Checker PIN.
Additional Information for the WAEC GCE 2022 Application
- Before submitting their registration for the test, candidates should watch the information VCD.
- Note that the registration cost is not refundable for candidates.
- For the exam timetable, candidates should keep checking the website.
- Passport photos taken with a digital camera must be provided with entries.
- Candidates should review the exam’s rules and syllabuses, which they can download from the WAEC website (www.waeconline.org.ng) by entering their registration PIN.
- Candidates must disarm and wear a mufti to the exam rooms. There will be no professional uniforms of any kind permitted in the testing rooms.
- Candidates who take the exam at more than one location will have their complete result nullified.
- Smoking is not permitted in the exam room.
- Any candidate who enters the examination room with a mobile phone or other electronic device will have their whole results thrown out.
Before uploading, candidates must double-check that all of the information on their entries is accurate because the Council will not be held liable for any mistakes in the candidates’ personal information.
