OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship 2023

The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship 2023.

This opportunity is specifically designed for students in tertiary institutions from Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Areas who are currently pursuing their academic programs during the 2022/2023 academic session.

As part of its commitment to education and community development, OSOPADEC aims to support deserving students in their pursuit of knowledge.

Eligibility Criteria for OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship 2023:

To be considered for the OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship 2023, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

1. Indigene of Ilaje and/or Ese-Odo Local Government Areas: Applicants must be proud indigenes of either Ilaje or Ese-Odo Local Government Areas in Ondo State. This initiative aims to empower and uplift the local communities by investing in their educational growth.

2. Full-time Student Status: Only full-time students enrolled in recognized public or private institutions in Nigeria during the 2022/2023 academic session are eligible to apply. OSOPADEC recognizes the importance of dedicated and committed students who are pursuing their studies on a full-time basis.

3. All Academic Levels: Both undergraduate and postgraduate students, including those studying at the Law School, are eligible to apply for the OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship 2023. However, it is crucial that their studentship is officially acknowledged by their respective school or university authorities.

4. Exclusions: Please note that part-time, sandwich, pre-degree, NTI (Nigeria Teachers‘ Institute), and diploma students, as well as those studying at institutions not accredited by relevant authorities, are not qualified to apply for this award. OSOPADEC strives to ensure that the bursary and scholarship benefits students who are fully engaged in their academic pursuits.

Online Registration Requirements:

For the 2022/2023 Edition of the OSOPADEC Bursary and Scholarship, all applicants must possess and upload the following documents in the relevant fields during the online registration process:

a. One Recent Passport Photograph: A clear and recent passport-sized photograph is required for identification purposes.

b. Local Government of Origin: Applicants must provide proof of their local government of origin within Ilaje or Ese-Odo Local Government Areas

c. JAMB Admission Letter: The official admission letter issued by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) must be uploaded

d. School Fees Receipt for 2022/2023 Academic Session: Applicants must provide proof of payment or receipt for their current academic session’s school fees.

e. Current Valid Student Identity Card (I.D): A valid student identity card from the applicant’s institution is required to verify their student status.

Important Instructions:

1. Bank Details: Once the application is submitted, no changes to bank details will be entertained. Therefore, applicants must ensure that the provided bank information is accurate and up to date.

2. Registration Slip: Applicants are required to print out the registration slip after completing the online application. This slip serves as proof of registration and must be retained for further processing.

3. Signature and Stamp: The registration slip must be signed and stamped by the Dean of Student Affairs or the Head of Department (as applicable) from the applicant’s institution. This step ensures the authenticity and validation of the application.
