The Uganda Police Force is pleased to announce that the second batch of 5,000 police recruits has officially begun. Applications are now open for interested candidates from September 7th to September 19th, to be submitted to the local District/Divisional Police Headquarters.

Basic Information

Applicants must be Ugandan citizens with a valid National ID, have no criminal record, and have completed at least a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a minimum of five passes, including English and Mathematics, or its equivalent.

Higher qualifications such as a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or a diploma are also encouraged.

Physical fitness is another crucial aspect and applicants must undergo physical fitness tests to ensure they are ready for the demands of the job.

Is the Uganda Police Force Currently Recruiting

As of now, there is no ongoing recruitment for the Uganda Police Force. However, any future opportunities will be publicly announced through all news media.

Uganda Police Application Process

The process involves filling out an application form, submitting the required documents, and undergoing a selection process that includes a written test, physical fitness test, interview, and background check.

Requirements

  • UCE Certificate or its equivalent with at least 4 credits, including English and a pass in Math.
  • Valid Ugandan citizenship and National ID.
  • Clean criminal history.
  • Prepared for the required twelve-month Police Basic Training Course.
  • Maintain physical fitness and strong communication abilities.
