Applications are open for the Wallonia-Brussels International Excellence Grants Programme, offering Long-term and Short-term scholarships for postdoctoral candidates. This programme allows foreign researchers to pursue postdoctoral studies or research at the Universities of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

Grant Details

The Wallonia-Brussels International Excellence Grants Program includes:

• Long-term scholarships (minimum 1 year, renewable once) at postdoctoral level.
• Short-term scholarships (1 to 3 months, non-renewable) at postdoctoral level

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be researchers from any country
• Hold a doctoral degree from a foreign university
• Wish to pursue a postdoctoral programme in higher education institutions supported by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation

Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

• Monthly stipend of 2.120 euros for living expenses, accommodation, materials, and local travel;
• International travel costs covered by WBI;
• Healthcare insurance for non-EU fellows;
• “Repatriation assistance” insurance for long-term scholars.
