AKISAN Scholarship Program for Akwa Ibom Students 2026 is currently ongoing. If you are a student from Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria (also known as Akwa Ibomites), this is an opportunity for you to be to get financial support for your education.
The AKISAN Scholarship Program for Akwa Ibom Students is sponsored by the Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria (AKISAN USA, INC,). Any Akwa Ibom State Indigene studying in any higher institution such as a College of Education, Polytechnics, Maritime Academy, or University in Nigeria is eligible to apply.
So far, a total of 259 scholarships have been awarded to qualified Akwa Ibomites by the Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria (AKISAN USA, INC,).

To be eligible for the AKISAN Scholarship Program;
- You must an indigene of Akwa Ibom States
- You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
Scholarship Benefits
This scholarship for Akwa Ibom Students is a one (1) time scholarship award, and the value is varied with the GPA score of each applicants as outlined below;
- GPA 3.5 and Above – N100,000
- GPA 3.0 – 3.49 – N75,000
- GPA 2.5 – 2.99 – N50,000
PLEASE NOTE: Only two (2) applicants will be awarded from each of the 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, making a total of 62 scholarship awards.
Application Requirements
Alongside your application, the following documents are required;
- A letter of recommendation
- Certificate of origin
- Academic transcript for 2025-2026 school year (for undergraduate students)
- WAEC result (for 1st year undergraduate students only)
- An essay (between 500 and 800 words).
