PTDF Scholarship Eligibility And Requirements 2024
The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is a government agency aimed at developing indigenous human capacity and petroleum technology to meet the needs of the oil and gas industry, providing scholarships to MSc and Ph.D. students seeking specific programs at selected institutions through its PTDF Overseas Scholarship Scheme for the 2022/2023 academic session.
PTDF scholarships are highly competitive and are based on academic merit, professional organization membership, and the feasibility of a study/research plan. For MSc applicants, a minimum of a Second Class Upper (2.1) certificate is required, along with fulfilling the National Youth Service requirement, computer literacy, and the ability to submit a statement of purpose. On the other hand, Ph.D. applicants must have fulfilled the National Youth Service requirement, demonstrate computer proficiency, and present a study proposal related to the oil and gas business.
Applicants must also submit a number of required documents, including a First Degree Certificate, WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO results, Local Government Identification Letter, Recent Passport Photograph, Certificate of Master’s Degree, and evidence of professional association membership. The application deadline is not open yet.
