The Nigerian Federal Government has implemented new conditions for the Student Loan Scheme to improve access to education without financial barriers. Automated Application Process
FIRS Chairman, Dr. Zacch Adedeji, emphasized the commitment to a fully automated application and loan processing, ensuring efficiency, and transparency.
JAMB Registration Number
Applicants must submit their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration number to verify their educational background.
Date of Birth Verification
The scheme requires applicants to provide their date of birth to confirm eligibility and age criteria.
National Identification Number (NIN)
Applicants need to provide their National Identification Number (NIN) to confirm Nigerian citizenship and eligibility for the scheme.
Biometric Verification Number (BVN)
Prospective candidates are required to provide their Biometric Verification Number (BVN) for financial inclusion and seamless fund access.
Matriculation and Admission Numbers
Successful applicants will need to provide their matriculation and admission numbers to streamline the allocation of funds to their enrolled institutions.
Direct Transfer of Fees
Upon approval, the fees will be transferred directly to the applicant’s enrolled institution, expediting financial support.
