Steve Eshiemogie Scholarship for Nigerian Students 2024
Although Nigerian scholarships are quite common, the Steve Eshiemogie Scholarship stands out because of its unique focus on students in the biological sciences and engineering. The scholarship aims to support undergraduate students from federal government universities in Nigeria who are on their final year of study.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria to qualify for the Steve Eshiemogie Scholarship:
- Must be a Nigerian student studying in Nigeria.
- Must be enrolled in a “federal” government university.
- Must be studying any of the following courses: chemical engineering, biology, microbiology, biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, plant biology, or related courses.
- Must be advancing to final year of undergraduate study.
- Must have a last sessional CGPA of at least 4.3 on a 5.0 scale, or 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship.
Application Procedures
How-to-Apply: Applicants should submit a detailed statement of purpose, outlining their motivation for studying their course and their future plans. The statement should not exceed 2 pages and must be saved as a PDF document.
Additionally, applicants should prepare a well-structured CV/Resume and obtain 2 letters of recommendation from lecturers. They should also obtain a signed letter from their HOD or course advisor confirming that they are not beneficiaries of any other scholarship.
