In a groundbreaking move for Nigeria’s technological landscape, the Federal Government is preparing to launch the second phase of the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program. Dr. Bosun Tijani, the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, announced the upcoming phase, scheduled to kick off in March 2024.

The 3MTT program, a pivotal component of the Renewed Hope agenda, is designed to enhance Nigeria’s technical capabilities by providing training in critical areas such as Software Development, UI/UX Design, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Data Science, Animation, AI/Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Game Development, Cloud Computing, and DevOps.

Minister Dr. Bosun Tijani took to Twitter to share the exciting news during the winners’ announcement for the 3MTT Learning Community Video Showcase Competition held in December 2023. The second phase aims to select an additional 300,000 applicants, building on the success of the first phase where 30,000 individuals have been actively engaged in diverse technical skills training since November 2023.
