The IFAD Agrihub Nigeria and BIC Farms Concepts have partnered to offer the Youth Agripreneurship Apprentice Program (YAAP) to Nigerian youth looking to venture into agriculture. The program aims to empower and provide opportunities for the rural youth, especially those with limited education.

The program focuses on soilless vegetable farming, providing a comprehensive curriculum for aspiring young farmers. It includes classroom sessions, practical field experience, and internships to equip the beneficiaries with the necessary skills to start their own agricultural businesses or secure jobs in the industry.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the program, applicants must meet specific requirements:
- Age between 18 and 29
- Passionate about agriculture and renewable energy solutions
- Unemployed at the time of application
- Possess at least a junior or senior secondary school certificate
- Reside in Siun/Ogere and Abeokuta, Ogun state
- Have access to a functioning mobile phone
- Physically and mentally fit to participate in all training activities
- Willing to commit three months to the program and undergo an internship
- Female candidates are encouraged to apply
