Kiisi Trust Foundation – Ogoni Scholarship Scheme 2023

Kiisi Trust Foundation – Ogoni Scholarship Scheme 2023 is part of the goal of the Kiisi Trust Foundation (KTF)(KTF) to better the lives of Ogoni indigenes by offering scholarships to Ogoni Students from the four Ogoni LGAs in Rivers State that are in their 200 Level. Kiisi Trust Foundation also offer support to institutions like providing alternate power supply to health facilities and Ogoni next Gen Internship.

All higher or tertiary institutions students, that is, University, Polytechnic, Monotechnics like Colleges of Education, Colleges of Health, Schools of Nursing and Midwives etc are eligible to apply. Aslong as you are in your second year (200L) and an indigene of any of the following four (4) local governments areas in Rivers States: Eleme, Gokana, Khana and Tai. Your institution must also be recognized or approved by the appropriate body, e.g. University must be recognized by National Universities Commission (NUC).

The Ogoni Scholarship Scheme started its first phase in 2018 and the ongoing scholarship forn 2023 is the phase 5. Here is the report for phase 4 (2022 scholarship). To be qualified for the 2023 Scholarship, carefully read through the instructions below.

Application Requirement

To be eligible for the Kiisi Trust Foundation – Ogoni Scholarship Scheme 2023, interested applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. You must be an Ogoni indigene studying in any approved and recognized higher institution.
  2. You must be admitted during the 2022/2023 academic session, that is, you must be in your 2nd year or 200 Level as at the time of this application.
  3. You must have nothing less than a CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 3.0 on scale of 5 (for university students) or 2.4 on a scale of 4 (for other institutions).
  4. You must have a bank account that is connected to your BVN and must not have any amount restriction (students accounts are not encouraged).
  5. If you are currently holding any other scholarship e.g. Oil & Gas Scholarship, you are ineligible to apply.
  6. Only Ogoni Students from the above listed 4 local government areas are eligible to apply.
  7. You must have a verifiable Admission Letter with which you were admitted into your higher institution of learning.
  8. Only students studying a full-time course shall be considered for the scholarship (i.e. part-time students are ineligible).

Required Documents

In the course of your application, the following documents will be required for uploads:

  1. A Student Identity Card (Approved by School Authority)
  2. A Passport Photograph of a white background.
  3. An Admission Letter into an approved tertiary institution.
  4. A duly signed and stamped Current CGPA transcript or result (must be signed by HOD/Exam Officer, or Authorized person)
  5. A Local Government of Origin Certificate.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL APPLICANTS
  • The above documents must be in PDF or JPG Formats only and not more than 300KB in size.
  • Each document must be named starting with your Matric Number followed by the document name e.g. LASU2017/906783AdmissionLetter.jpg
  • Make sure to upload all required documents before the application deadline.
  • Only applicants who completed the online application and uploaded all required documents will be issued an Application ID.
  • Make sure to apply for the scholarship using your personal email. Using email belonging to parents, relatives, business center or group will amount to being disqualified.

To apply for the Ogoni Scholarship Scheme 2023, please carefully follow the steps highlighted below:

  1. Click on Apply Now below.
  2. An email will be sent to you, check your inbox or spam folder.
  3. Click the link sent to you to activate your account.
  4. Enter your registered username (Email Address) and password (the one you created when you signed up) to login.
  5. Enter your all required information (personal, educational and bank information)
  6. Upload required scanned documents (including a pass-port photograph with a white background)
  7. Make sure to use corresponding names in all your applications.
  8. Do not apply more than once to avoid disqualification.
