KIT Scholarship Fund for International Students 2024/25

Welcome to KIT Royal Tropical Institute, where we are excited to offer the KIT Scholarship Fund to talented health professionals from low-income countries. This scholarship is designed for those who are passionate about improving the health situation in their home countries and wish to pursue a Masters of Public Health or Masters of International Health at KIT.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet specific requirements to be considered for the KIT Scholarship Fund:

  • Candidates must be admitted to either the Master of Science in Public Health and Health Equity at KIT and fulfill all scholarship application requirements.
  • They must have a passport from an emerging country in South America, Africa, or Asia and meet the Dutch visa requirements.
  • Have at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience in low- and middle-income countries.
  • Display a commitment to the public health sector, particularly for disadvantaged populations.
  • Agree to return to their home country after completing the program to contribute to improving health with their acquired knowledge.
  • Be a national of and residing in a low-income country during the application period.
  • Hold academic admission to the KIT masters programme they are applying for a scholarship.
  • Not be employed by specific organizations such as multinational corporations, donor organizations, or international NGOs.
  • Work in a field where studying at KIT can make a meaningful contribution.
  • Be able to implement newly acquired skills and knowledge effectively.

Application Procedures:

How-to-Apply: Accepted applicants for the Master of Public Health and Health Equity can apply online for this scholarship after obtaining academic admission to KIT.

Applicants must demonstrate a source of co-funding/other funding and provide a package including an admission letter, proof of financing, a motivation letter, and a 500-700-word essay on a public health problem they have encountered.
