Learning Paths for the CyberGirls Fellowship

Cyber Girls Foundation Scholarship is a free one-year program that plans to equip girls with cyber-related skills that would get them well positioned in the future.

The learning path has been created to start with digital literacy and develop gradually from basic cybersecurity ideas to more specialized specialist cybersecurity knowledge.

Beneficiaries will choose and focus on one of the following tracks/career options halfway during the fellowship:

Threat Intelligence: Learn how to assess and improve an organization’s security posture by analyzing data generated by networks, applications, and other IT infrastructure.

Learn and use basic network security procedures in the cloud environment, as well as identify risk levels and recent vulnerabilities that affect cloud services.

Penetration/Vulnerability Testing: Learn the fundamentals of penetration testing. Scanning, reckoning, and exploitation using software and command line tools.

Incident Analysis/Response (SOC Analyst Level 1): This course covers numerous incident analysis tools and methodologies for vulnerability analysis, intrusion detection, attack protection, and network/resources repair.

IT Security Audit: This course covers the basics of security auditing. What is an IT Security Audit, why is it important, and how can it be done?

Fellowship of Cyber Girls Eligibility

Open to females between the ages of 18 and 28 who are interested in pursuing a career in cybersecurity.
Willing to commit to the fellowship for seven months;
Graduates and undergraduates;
Participants from Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, and Egypt are the only ones eligible for this training.
