New Heritage Baptist Church (NHBC), Shomolu, which is associated with the Nigerian Baptist Convention, initiated an awards system to support youths accomplishing highly in colleges and universities. NHCB is located at 17/19 Femi Adebule Street, Fola-Agoro, Shomolu, Lagos.

Every year there have been distributions of awards as part of the Church’s commitment to building bridges and opportunities between Nigerian students and their educational centers; these establishments being the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Yaba College of Technology (YCT), Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka (FCETA) along with its University of Benin (UNIBEN) satellite campus.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the New Heritage Baptist Church Scholarship 2025, interested applicants must meet the following criteria:

• You must be currently enrolled as a student in one of the educational institutions listed below:

1. The University of Lagos
2. Yaba College of Technology
3. Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka and its University of Benin satellite campus.

• As at the time of this application, you must have completed at least one academic session (that is, you should be in your 2nd year and above)
• You must have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 minimum on a scale of 5.0 or its equivalent on a scale of 4.0.
• 100 level students are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply for the New Heritage Baptist Church Scholarship

• Thereafter, print out the validation form and present it to both your Head of Department and the Dean of Student Affairs of your institution for their signature and stamp.
• Qualified applicants will be required to undertake an aptitude test.
• Qualified candidates would be notified the date and location of the aptitude test.
