NNPC/SPDC Scholarship for Undergraduates 2023: What You Should Know

The Nigeria National Petroleum Commission (NNPC) and Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) of Nigeria hereby invite full-time undergraduate students of any government-approved institution to apply for the NNPC/SPDC Scholarship for Undergraduates 2023.

Who Can Apply?

This scholarship is based on two categories; the National Merit Award (NM) and the Area of Operation Merit Award.

The National Merit Award is open to all Nigerians while the Areas of Operation Merit Award is open to indigenes of Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States.

Eligibility

1. Must be citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
2. Must be a FULL-TIME undergraduate student of any government-accredited and approved university in Nigeria.
3. Must be in 200 level as of January 2023 or possess proof of admission into the undergraduate program in the 2020/2021 academic session.
4. Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from any other company in the Oil and Gas Industry, national or international.

Requirements

1. All applicants should have valid personal email accounts and phone numbers.
2. Applicants for the Operational Area Awards are required to provide scanned copies of letters of identification duly signed and stamped by:

• The Paramount Ruler of the Community.
• The Chairman of the Community Development Committee or Community Executive Council.

These letters should be addressed to:

The Manager,

Social Performance,

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (SHELL),

Shell Industrial Area, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Documents Required for the NNPC/SPDC Scholarship for Undergraduates 2023

The necessary documents to be scanned and uploaded include;

1. Passport photograph with white background, not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px, not more than 200kb)
2. School ID Card
3. University or JAMB Admission Letter
4. JAMB Result
5. Local Government of Origin Certificate
6. Scanned copies of letters of identification, duly signed and stamped by; The Community Paramount Ruler (For the National Merit Award) and for the Operational Area Awards, as stated above.
