The Swedish Government offers the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals for students interested in pursuing Masters studies starting in the autumn semester to develop future global leaders contributing to sustainable development.
Scholarship Details
The Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs funds the scholarship for one- or two-year Master’s programs. The Swedish Institute opens applications annually for studies starting in the autumn semester, granting about 250 scholarships in 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals, applicants must:
- Be citizens of one of the 41 eligible countries
- Have documented work and leadership experience
- Follow the university admission process and get admitted to a Master’s program

Application Procedures
Applicants should apply to up to four eligible Master’s programs at universityadmissions.se. After submitting the applications, a personal application number will be provided for use when applying for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals. It is important to use the correct number to avoid disqualification.

- CV in the SI-template
- Letters of reference in the SI-template
- Proof of work and leadership experience in the SI-template
- Copy of valid passport/National ID card
- Motivation letter (to be completed in the application portal)
