Steps Required Before JAMB Registration

Before you go to the CBT center for your registration, these are steps you must have completed:

1. National Identification Number:

Get your NIN ready if you don’t have one yet. You can’t complete the UTME registration process without your NIN.

2. JAMB Profile:

  • Your profile must be carefully filled to avoid mistake. You will login in with your username, password, and complete your profile.
  • Also you need to get your JAMB PROFILE code by texting your NIN digits to 55019.

For example: 23123468949490 to 55019. You will need some airtime on your phone to do this, at least #50.

3. JAMB e-PIN:

You can get your JAMB e-PIN from any of the below listed banks:

  • NIPOST
  • ACCESS
  • ECOBANK
  • FIRSTBANK
  • First City Monument Bank (FCMB)
  • FIDELITY
  • JAIZ
  • SKYE
  • STERLING
  • UNION
  • UNITY
  • ZENITH

4. Email Account:

Make sure you have a valid email account. e.g Gmail or Yahoo mail.

Just visits www.gmail.com to get a valid Gmail account or https://mail.yahoo.com/ for Yahoo mail account.

5. O’level Credits:

You must have at least 5 O’level credits in your core subjects which include Mathematics and English, or at least must have registered to take them in WAEC, NECO etc.

Don’t believe the rumour that you can get into school without mathematics etc.

6. Data Correction:

In the case of mistake during your JAMB 2023 registration process, you can correct the mistakes with JAMB OTP which costs like #2500 asides from remita charges.

  • Remember that after completing your registration, your JAMB slip will not have information on exam date, venue and time. Therefore you must reprint.

How to Register for JAMB exam 2023 as a Foreign Candidate

For foreign candidates who want to write JAMB exam, they would need to visit the Nigerian Embassy in their country, and they would be directed on what to do.

However, let’s still outline the process for foreign candidates

There are about 9 countries where things have been put into place by JAMB so that native candidates in foreign lands can take the exam, however the fee is around $20.

  4. Beau, Cameroun
  5. Berlin, Germany
  6. Cotonou, Benin Republic

Any candidate who wishes to write the examination in these foreign countries will have to download the JAMB application form from the website (www.jamb.gov.ng).

Step-by-step Registration Process for Foreign Candidates

Candidates resident in foreign countries are required to visit www.jamb.gov.ng/efacility

  • First step is to create a profile
  • After that, login to the profile with your correct details
  • While on the website, take a look at the left side of your menu, then click on Foreign UTME/DE registration
  • Carefully follow all instructions and guidelines until the payment page
  • You can pay the $20 fee with your card the usual way you purchase things online. Make sure to pay with any of the payment methods listed on the site.
  • Lastly, you can complete the whole registration process online.
