University of York GREAT Scholarships for International Students 2024

The University of York, in collaboration with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, is offering eight scholarships to students in China, Ghana, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, and Turkey who are applying for various postgraduate courses. This scholarship program provides a minimum of £10,000 in financial support to students pursuing one-year postgraduate studies in the UK. Students have the opportunity to apply for courses in a wide range of subjects at institutions across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

The GREAT Scholarship 2024 program, developed by the British Council in partnership with 72 UK universities, aims to assist postgraduate students from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam in accessing high-quality UK higher education opportunities. Eligible students will receive a minimum of £10,000 in financial support for one-year postgraduate studies in the UK. Applications are open for courses in various subjects across institutions in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the University of York GREAT Scholarships for International Students, applicants must meet the following conditions:

• Open to students from China, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, and Turkey.
• Must be a citizen of China, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, or Turkey.

• Must have a conditional or unconditional offer to study a one-year postgraduate taught course at the University of York by 20 May 2024 (acceptance of the offer is not required).
• Must be paying fees at the overseas fee rate.
• Must have fulfilled any language requirements of the offer by 20 May 2024.
